Hi! Well I’m posting a work in progress..I have’nt been able to work on it as I have been working on the book and some other projects too!

This painting is afull sheet of stonehenge printmaking paper,I love it for my colored pencil/mixed media work.It is It’s quite large 24 x 30? Have to double check,no wonder It’s taking forever! Remind me to work a bit smaller!

This painting features a lovely dark fairy,in shades of red and gray tones. her wings are done with alot of detail,the webbing has been accented with blood red roses,she stands in an archway where there will be a full moon peeking through the dorway.Her loyal companion,a winged wolf,(I should name him too)stands by her side…I hope I can finish this as soon as I’m done with the book..I have alot of other paintings sketched out and others churning around in my head..So this is what I have so far…:)

I was hoping to make a New Years resolution to post more often on my web-site and better late than never!This is a little preview of a couple of illustrations for “THE MAGNIFECENT TREE”

W e are still looking for a publisher,if you have any ideas or if you are a publisher,we would LOVE to hear from you..

This illustration is from the middle of the book ..Here’s a little excerpt..

“When the sun rose,all the fairies busily began their new jobs.They made paint brushes out of twigs and grass.They ground up berries and leaves to make paint,and hung from vines,making sure each and every last inch of their tree was coated in hue.”

I am also posting a little tree fairy that goes at the end of the book..he is in his little robe and bunny slippers drinking a cup of hot cocoa that is bigger than his very own head!

Welcome to my new site blog where I can share with you site updates or news about my art!

I have some exciting news! I am working on illustrating a children’s book!It is written by Wendy Brache.It is a sweet story about tree fairies! It is titled”THE MAGNIFICENT TREE”. Her web-site is www.wendybrache.com . I am only on the very first illustration,but I hope to post a work in progress picture and give you a sneak peek!

I also have some new artwork I’ll be posting by next week(fingers crossed:)

I’ll be adding more products like Bookmarks,Art Tiles,Music Boxes,Tile Treasure boxes and more.
