The mystical dreams that were part of all our childhoods are all too quickly lost. We need to reconnect with the fantasy and magic that’s within us. My artwork helps us relive the wonders that our dreams made so real. Drawing and design have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a young girl, I loved to help design the sets for school musicals. My days were centered in the art room, and my first art teacher remains my lifelong friend.
My early dreams of becoming a professional artist have finally been realized, after years of sustaining myself doing everything from picture framing to cake decorating. And I am an avid collector, from dolls to anything Egyptian.
As a freelance artist, my work is regularly exhibited in galleries, art shows, and other fine art markets. Commissioned work, book illustration, murals and greeting card designs are my primary focus, and I find jewelry and costume design fascinating sidelines. Much of my work is ornamented mixed media…colored pencil embellished with watercolors, airbrush, acrylics… and fairy dust.Many small sculptures of imaginary figures populate my studio and inspire my muse.
